I am so glad we are back together. I am sorry you had to see me with Mon - Thursday, but I swear I was thinking of you the entire time.

🍯 Honey - We Did It! 🍯

Well that escalated quickly. Our first harvest with the Anvil and Apiary team was a huge success! So much so, that we were only able to fill all pre-orders. WOW! The good news is, the AA team has plans for more hives, more worker bees, and more amazing honey for YOU next season!

For fun, here is our favorite honey cinnamon roll-up recipes from our friends at the Taste of Home 🍥
Ingredients:
2 cups ground walnuts, toasted
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
12 sheets frozen phyllo dough, thawed
1/2 cup butter, melted
syrup:
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Preheat oven to 350°. Combine walnuts, sugar and cinnamon.
Place 1 sheet of phyllo dough on a 15x12-in. piece of waxed paper; brush with butter. Place a second phyllo sheet on top, brushing it with butter. (Keep remaining phyllo covered with a damp towel to prevent it from drying out.) Sprinkle with 1/4 cup walnut mixture. Using waxed paper, roll up tightly jelly-roll style, starting with a long side, removing paper as you roll. Slice roll into 4 smaller rolls; transfer rolls to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Repeat with remaining phyllo dough and walnut mixture, by 1/4 cupfuls. Bake until light brown, 14-16 minutes. Cool dish on a wire rack. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine all syrup ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Drizzle cinnamon rolls with syrup; sprinkle with remaining walnut mixture.

Tanya- Executive Chaos Coordinator
After a lifetime of rescuing abused and abandoned dogs as Agape Animal Rescue and Training Center’s Founder and current Executive Director, she decided to “relax a little” by supporting her husband, Josh, with his dream of getting back to his farm loving, horse riding, produce growing heart.

Josh- Chief Chicken Chaser
Working full-time in accounting by day but not so secretly a farmer at heart. You will see him fixing a fence, tossing bales of hay, or simply cuddling Tater, the goat, when you drive by.

McKenzie- Goat Wrangle Extraordinaire
Madelyn- Pig & Pony Patrol
Marley- Master Chicken Whisperer

8 Weeks ago a fellow farm animal rescue asked us for help with a pig hoarding situaiton. Of course, we jumped in to help. We were able to bring home 4 females and SURPRISE....now we have babies, a lot of them!! Snow White and the seven dwarfs are now available for adoption and will be meeting families this week! If you need piggy kisses in your life, message us! 🐷💜

After more than 20 years of supporting abandoned dogs through fostering, our passion for helping unwanted animals grew to include farm animals of all kinds….pigs, goats, mini-donkeys, horses, chickens and more. We love them all! Willis Willow Farm Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit, 501c3 , committed to providing a safe place for unwanted farm animals who simply need a place to live and be loved.

We rely on people, such as yourself, to support the animals through tours and parties! So how does it work?

➡️ Children participate in a scavenger hunt that includes animal encounters along with a halter lead horse ride around the fields. All treats and snacks for the animals will be provided along with a scavenger hunt prize at the end of the visit!
➡️ Private Party Fee: $300 min donation for up to 10 children.
➡️ Party Rental Add Ons. $250 per bounce house, $15 per 6-foot table, $3 per white folding chair.
➡️ Parties are by appointment only and last 2 hours.
➡️ A covered carport area is available should you decide you would like to bring a sweet treat for your guests. The front porch makes a great seating area for the guests

Our friends at Redemption Road Rescue helped more than 100 pigs who were in great need of rescue. They asked us to jump in and support of a few of the moms, so of course, we did! Surprise, our sweet Snow White was pregnant and now her seven dwarfs are available for adoption!

Ya'll, this heat is too much! We are always looking for tips and tricks to navigate farm chores in the extreme temperatures. Here are a few things that we are doing to beat the heat around the farm!

➡️ Freeze treats for the animals daily.
➡️ Harvest early in the morning.
➡️ Wear a wet bandanna around your neck.
➡️ Slow down and take breaks.
➡️ Stay hydrated.
➡️ Do not forgot sunscreen!
